What type of space, scenography or object is needed for a satisfying zoom call? Are there any specific conditions to make it happen? Isn’t a smartphone a full and exhaustive answer of what is essential?

Our proposal is a critical reflection upon the need of creating a physical place for a fully digital activity. Our aim is to look at the online meeting on zoom as a situation which doesn’t truly need any corporeal representation.

This exaggerated, sculptural object, presents a direct translation of digital reality, understood as a set of tools our phones are armed with, into a tangible one, seen as the physical world which surrounds us. The items attached onto the structure are metaphors for the virtual features found in current-day technology. Taken out and decompressed in the real surrounding they become ridiculous, at the same time revealing an immense complexity of modern technologies, almost impossible to grasp.
