Karen Pisoni is a Swiss-Mexican scenic designer whose work explores the boundaries between light, space, and materials, with a strong commitment to storytelling. Her practice questions past and present symbols, weaving together art, design, and craftsmanship through multidisciplinary processes.
She is the founder of Pisoni–lab, a Lausanne-based studio that designs immersive setups for exhibitions, events, and temporary installations—without compromising on environmental responsibility. By reactivating existing resources and collaborating with local creators, the studio transforms the ephemeral into the durable.
Karen’s background spans graphic design, media & interaction design, and interior architecture, acquired through her studies at ECAL and HEAD – Genève. This multidisciplinary foundation allows her to work fluidly across formats, from stage design to installations, with a sensitivity to both narrative and materiality.
