Weeks before my arrival in Acapulco, Neto, my biological father told me a lot about Acapulco’s special bread named “Bolillo de leña”. At the call of the young salesman coming from the streets, my grandmother began to scream and went on the road. The seller heard her call and came back about five minutes later.
The typical bread of Acapulco looks a lot like Swiss bread, so it was not the taste that surprised me, but the resemblance.
